
Poisoning is very common in our country and also in different parts of the world. It may be suicidal, homicidal or accidental in nature. So we should have some basic knowledge about the pre-hospital management of poisoned patient.
Mode and substance used :
suicidal: drug overdose e.g. paracetamol, sedatives, insecticides.
homicidal: arsenic, potacium cianide
accidental: chemicals, kerosine, paints, carbon mono-oxide gas.
